 Tiggie's adoption is now pending!

I have retired Tiggie and she is now up for adoption.  She is free to the right home.  Tiggie is a shy girl and prefers not to be held.  I will only adopt Tiggie out to someone who already has experience with hedgehogs....I will not give her to first time hedgehogs owners.  Tiggie is about 3 years old and is in good health.  Please email me if you are interested in adopting her and I will have you fill out an application.

Baby hedgehogs

Last update: January 08, 2010

In the winter, sometimes hedgehogs to not conceive as easily.  This is because, in the wild, they generally only conceive in the spring.  I have realized this to be particularly true this year.  I have not had any babies born on my originally planned schedule, as I've had to re-bred the moms that didn't seem to conceive at the first breeding.   Anyhow, thank you for your patience.  I will be in contact with my waiting list as soon as I have some babies born.  Thank you! ~ Emily

Please email me if you would like to be placed on an email list for updates on when litters are expected, etc.  Please note that this does not give you priority for purchasing a hedgehog from me.  It merely it a convinent way for you to stay updated.

When the babies are old enough to be held and sexed, I will post pictures and details on the site.

I handle my baby hedgehogs daily, from about 1 week of age.  This helps insure that they become very socialized and as friendly as possible!  I allow the babies to go to their new homes at around 7 weeks old.  This ensures that they are eating and drinking well on their own before they leave my care.

Please note that I do not ship! No exceptions!

All baby hedgies come with:

Pre & post support-  You will  always be able to contact me via email or phone should you ever have any questions or need any assistance.

A sample of their food- This food will last the hedgehog about a week.  This helps the transition, should you choose not to feed the same food as they were raised on.

Free pet sitting- Should you ever go on vacation and happen to not live too far away from me, I will watch your hedgehog for free for up to 14 days at a time.

Referrals for veterinarians- It can be difficult to find veterinarians in your area that  treat hedgehogs.  I can help you out by giving you suggestions for vets that have been known to take them.

Pedigree papers and/or registry papers-  All baby hedgehogs will come with their pedigree papers.  I always encourage you to register your hedgehog with the International Hedgehog Registry(IHR).

Health Guarantee-  All my baby hedgehogs come with a two year guarantee against death from Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome.  In order to receive a refund of a new baby or your money back(which ever is most readily available), I will require a copy of a necropsy report (showing that the cause of death was genetic) done by a licensed veterinarian, at your expense.
